Required documents and procedures for account verification compliance

One Casino Identity Verification

Identity verification is required to comply with anti-money laundering regulations, prevent fraud, confirm legal age, and protect account security. This document explains when verification is required, which documents are requested, how information is processed, and the obligations of the account holder.

  1. Legal Basis and Purpose of Verification

One Casino reserves the right to use additional procedures and means to verify the identity of any user, both before and after deposits into an account. Verification serves the following purposes:

  • Compliance with Know Your Customer (KYC) and anti-money laundering (AML) regulations applicable to remote gambling services
  • Confirmation that the user meets the minimum legal age for gambling in the relevant jurisdiction
  • Prevention of identity theft, account takeover, and fraudulent transactions
  • Verification that account activity corresponds to a single real person
  • Ensuring the legitimacy of funds deposited and withdrawn

Verification is conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal compliance policies of the company.

  1. When Verification Is Required

Identity verification may be requested at any of the following stages:

  • Before the first deposit
  • After a deposit but before a withdrawal
  • When cumulative deposits or withdrawals reach specified thresholds
  • In connection with large transactions
  • When account activity appears unusual or inconsistent with the known profile of the user
  • When multiple accounts or shared payment methods are detected
  • Periodically as part of ongoing account monitoring
  • At any time if additional verification is considered necessary for compliance or security reasons

Users are notified via email or account message when verification is required. Until verification is completed, deposits may be restricted, withdrawals may be suspended, and account functionality may be limited.

  1. Required Documents

3.1. Government-Issued Photo Identification

A clear, legible copy of one of the following documents must be provided:

  • Passport (photo and data page)
  • National identity card (both sides)
  • Driver’s licence (both sides)

The document must be current (not expired) and must show the full name, date of birth, photograph, and document number. Partial images, cropped scans, or edited files are not accepted.

3.2. Proof of Address

A document issued within the last three months showing the full name and residential address of the user must be provided. Acceptable documents include:

  • Utility bill (electricity, water, gas, internet, landline telephone)
  • Bank statement or credit card statement
  • Government-issued correspondence (tax notice, social insurance document, municipal letter)
  • Lease agreement or mortgage statement

The address on the proof of address must match the address registered in the account. Post office boxes are not accepted.

3.3. Proof of Payment Method

Verification of payment methods used for deposits or withdrawals may be requested:

  • For credit or debit cards: photo of the card showing the first six and last four digits, the cardholder name, and expiry date (the middle digits and CVV must be obscured)
  • For e-wallets or payment accounts: screenshot showing the account holder name and account identifier
  • For bank transfers: bank statement or screenshot showing the account holder name and account number

3.4. Biometric Verification

A selfie photograph or live photo may be requested to confirm that the user is the person shown on the identity document. Instructions are provided if biometric verification is required. The photograph must show the face clearly, without filters, hats, or sunglasses, and may be required to include the identity document held next to the face.

  1. Submission Process

Documents must be submitted through the account dashboard or via the secure upload link provided in the verification request email. Acceptable file formats include JPG, PNG, and PDF. Files must be clear, in colour, and show all four corners of the document.

Documents sent via unencrypted email or third-party file-sharing services are not accepted. Users who are unable to upload documents through the designated channel should contact the support team to obtain alternative secure submission methods.

  1. Processing Time and Outcome

Submitted documents are generally reviewed within 72 hours of receipt. During periods of high volume, processing may take longer. An email notification is sent once verification is complete or if additional documents are required.

If documents are rejected, the reason is specified (for example, expired document, illegible image, name mismatch, address mismatch) and resubmission is requested. Repeated submission of invalid documents may result in account suspension pending resolution.

  1. Data Protection and Retention

All identity documents and personal information are processed in accordance with the One Casino Privacy Policy. Verification data is used solely for compliance, fraud prevention, and account security purposes.

Documents are stored securely with restricted access. Verification records are retained for the duration required by applicable law, typically for a minimum of five years following account closure. Information about stored data may be requested by contacting the compliance team.

Identity documents are not shared with third parties except where required by law, regulatory authority, or court order, or where necessary to process verification through authorized third-party identity verification service providers operating under confidentiality obligations.

  1. Consequences of Non-Compliance

Failure to provide requested documents within the specified timeframe results in:

  • Suspension of deposit privileges
  • Suspension of withdrawal processing
  • Restriction of account access
  • Potential closure of the account and forfeiture of funds if verification is not completed within 90 days of the initial request

If documents provided are determined to be fraudulent, altered, or belonging to another person, the account is immediately suspended, any winnings may be voided, and the matter may be reported to the relevant authorities.

  1. Updates and Ongoing Monitoring

The account holder is responsible for keeping account information current. If name, address, or contact details change, the account must be updated and supporting documentation provided.

Periodic reviews of account information are conducted as part of ongoing monitoring. Users may be asked to resubmit proof of address or confirm identity details even if verification has previously been completed.

  1. Contact for Verification Queries

For questions about the verification process, required documents, or the status of a submission, users should contact the compliance team through the support channels listed on the One Casino website. The account username and a clear description of the query should be included. Identity documents must not be sent via unsecured communication channels.
